Royal Reader!
Yesterday, our last Royal Reader of the year surprised us! Jackson's dad joined us to read "The Boy Who Looked Like Lincoln" and "Chip Wants a Dog". We enjoyed these funny and cute stories so much, and we learned that a few other students in class have a Weimaraner just like Jackson's dog! Thank you for coming in to read to us!

Field Day!
Friday's gorgeous weather brought the perfect day for Field Day! Students loved participating in activities like the sponge toss, three legged race, swim noodle throw, dunk tank, and many others! Two lucky students who had their names drawn from a hat were also given the opportunity to try and dunk Dr. Jares. After our game rotations were completed, we all enjoyed popsicles in the field together before going home. What an exciting day we had!
Junior Achievement
On Friday morning our Junior Achievement representative, Mr. Wick, joined us to do "JA in a day". We enjoyed learning about families, jobs, and needs/wants. We played games and completed a floor map of a community, and we were excellent listeners and participators as Mr. Wick was presenting. We are now experts on needs and wants!

Royal Reader!
Last week, we were surprised by another Royal Reader! Rachel's dad came in to read the book, "Dog Breath" to us. The class loved this funny story and had many text to self connections about stinky dog breath! They also enjoyed hearing the clever puns throughout the book. Thanks for coming in to read to us!
Dissecting Flowers
After learning about the various parts of plants and their purposes, we dissected flowers to see those parts in action! We dissected the flowers part by part, and collected these parts in groups as we went. It was so neat to be able to see exactly what flowers look like on the inside, and to do scientific drawings to show our findings.
